When the magnolias are in flower, their blossoms scent our entryway and rooms.

The row of fine old magnolias in front of the house (to the east) are some of the "southern favorites" of our gardens.

The English boxwoods as you round the curve of the drive, the American boxwoods framing the west yard, the crepe myrtle in front of the screened porch, the azaleas, the pecan trees, black walnut, canna, gardenia, and several varieties of jasmine give the grounds a distinctly Southern character. Settle in one of our garden swings, take deep breaths of the scented air, and daydream the day away ...
